PTS – BX ring

The BX polymer ring was developed as a high-performance substitute for the BX metal ring during hydrostatic integrity testing, following the API6A norm.

The seal is made of 58 shore D polyurethane. This composite is widely used due to deformation absorption and seal stabilization in the housing.

Its use promotes optimization and simplification for hydrostatic testing, also generating a cost reduction through the possibility of multiple reuses keeping it with high yield.

According to finite element analysis and tests carried out on customers who already use the solution, the seals are capable of using compressions of up to 15,000 psi.
